Lithium Life PO4 Motorcycle Battery User Manual
A. Cautions
1. Do not immerse lithium lifePO4 motorcycle battery into water in case of damage.
2. Forbid to use or store the battery nearby high temperature and fire. Otherwise, both battery and car may get damaged.
3. Do not misconnect battery clamps lest battery and car damage.
4. Prohibit plugging battery into wall socket to avoid electric shock or battery damage.
5. Prevent metals from directly connecting the positive and negative terminal of battery for fear of fire.
6. Battery could become damaged because of manmade knocking, casting and treading.
7. Use suited screw and nut to fasten battery terminal preventing damage.
8. Never attempt to dissemble or re-modify lithium lifePO4 motorcycle battery.
9. Better not to mix up with batteries of various capacities, different types and multiple brands.
10. Stop using the product when it has abnormality, like smell, heat, deformation, color fading or else. While in use or during charge, please promptly cut off the charger or remove the battery and stop using it.
11. Battery property may be affected when the working temperature is less than -5 ℃.
12. Do not install additional electronic devices such as sound instrument and anti-theft lock, which may ruin the battery.
13. The charging voltage should be under 15V.
14. Be sure not to press battery power displayer button for a long time.
15. Please discharge the battery completely before discard.
16. Never start vehicle headlamps or other power device for move than five minute when the vehicle is in a state of idling or shutting down engine.

2. During warranty period, if there is quality problem, please fill in warranty card and paste it on the battery. Otherwise, we are afraid that we will not provide service.
C. Warning
The electrolyte inside lithium life PO4 motorcycle battery is harmful to skin and eyes. So, users should wash your eyes with fresh water instead of rubbing and seed medical aid immediately if the leaked electrolyte splashes your eyes.
D. Introduction to Life PO4 Battery
Thank you for purchasing the lifePO4 motorcycle battery. The battery is compact and highly portable one. It is composed of four groups of lithium batteries and adopts lithium iron phosphate as the anode material. Unlike other lead-acid lithium battery for mobile phones and other mobile electronics, this life PO4 battery is exclusively applied to motorcycles. This product is a new generation environmentally-friendly lithium battery with features of no poison, no pollution, good safety property and long lifetime.
The P-O in lithium iron phosphate crystals is too stable to be resolved. Thus, the battery can maintain a good safety performance even under high temperature or over charge. And it is proved that lifePO4 motorcycle battery does not burn under 30V voltage over charge or explode when punctured.
E. Installation Guidance
1. Please follow the installation guidance.
2. Check vehicle’s circuitry with specialized detector before installation.
1). Connect vehicle’s red wire to battery positive terminal and black wire to negative terminal. It is forbidden to misconnect them.
2). Connect vehicle’s red wire the voltage detector’s positive terminal and black wire to negative terminal. Then the detector shows the terminal voltage of battery.
3). Disconnect battery’s negative terminal from motorcycle’s black wire. At this time, the detector can display the output charging voltage of the vehicle’s charging system. Keep the vehicle’s rotating speed at 2000rpm and 5000rpm per minute and read the voltage. When voltage is 14.0V to 15.0V, the charging voltage is suitable. When the voltage is less than 14.0V or above 15.0V, the battery may get damaged. And vehicle charging system needs repairing.
4). Shut down the motorcycle and cut off the switch. Connect multimeter with battery negative terminal and motorbike’s NEGATIVE wire. Use milliampere current to measure battery’s power consumption and make sure the current is under 1mA when the vehicle pulls up.
5). Motorcycles with the above test can employ lithium lifePO4 battery.
3. Select appropriate starting lithium cell depending on vehicle model or battery model.
4. Examine the battery voltage with voltmeter before installation. Please recharge it if its voltage is less than 12.4V (for details, please refer to charging section.).
5. When removing lead-acid battery, users should firstly take down NEGATIVE bolt and wire and then POSITIVE bolt and wire, avoiding short circuit.
6. Check the polarity of original battery and lithium battery which should be same. If not, please contact us as quickly as possible. Secondly, examine their length, width and height. Please call us if the lithium battery turns to be larger and unable to put into motorbike. Normally, our lithium battery has same size with original one. For battery of small size, Carwanta provides two solutions.
1) We provide cork base for battery which is lower than the original one as shown in the picture.
2) Our company offers some single side adhesive sponges to paste at the bottom or sides of battery, achieving similar sizes with the original battery.
During installation, please fasten the POSITIVE terminal and wire with bolts and the NEGATIVE terminal and wire.
E. Advantages
1. Long Service Life
Lithium lifePO4 battery can be used for about seven to eight years, four times longer than lead-acid battery. Besides, the cycle life can reach more than 2000 times whereas that of lead-acid battery is no more than 500 times.
2. Environmentally Friendly
Such lithium battery has no poison, pollution or heavy metal, conforming to EU environmental regulations. On the contrary, lead-acid battery contains plenty of lead which does great harm to nature if disposed improperly.
3. Fuel Saving
Lithium lifePO4 battery can help motorcycle decrease consumption of fuel oil and reduce hazardous gas emissions. The common lead-acid battery’s working voltage is 12V and decreases as the battery capacity reduces. That lowers down starting efficiency. However, lithium iron phosphate battery’s working voltage is 13V and extremely stable. The additional one voltage keeps ignition plug at optimum state and improves ignition efficiency. Besides, it helps burn the oil in the cylinder more fully. The increase of unit kinetic energy thus enlarges engine torque and optimizes vehicle running performance. And later fuel consumption and emissions are reduced.
4. Lighter
It weighs only one third of lead-acid battery.
5. Safer
The lithium PO4 motorcycle battery employs lithium iron phosphate material and soft packing and heat-sealing technology.
6. Others
Other advantages include no leakage, fast charging, and long storage.
F. Charging
1. The charging voltage of vehicle or other charger should be limited between 14.0V and 15.0V.
2. Remove lithium lifePO4 motorcycle battery out of the vehicle when using other charger for charging. Do not charge in the car.
3. Utilize charging current lower than the marked maximum current to charge the battery.
4. Leave the battery alone for one or two hours after charge for check. If the voltage is under 12.4V, charge it again.
5. Do not use maintenance charger to maintain the battery for a long time.
G. Storage
1. Make sure the battery has at least 70% power during storage.
2. It is better to store the lithium lifePO4 motorcycle battery at cool dry place (-20℃ to 40℃) and away from corrosive things, high temperature and open fire.
3. Recharge the battery every six months.
H. Shipment
1. Lithium lifePO4 motorcycle battery should have 70% power during shipment.
2. Please use insulating vibration-proof material to package so as to refrain from damage resulted from crash and squeezing.
3. Please handle with care and avoid throwing or crashing during loading and shipping.
4. It is not allowed to transport these motorcycle batteries together with inflammable, explosive and sharp metal items.
I. Maintenance
1. Please disconnect battery from vehicle when not use for a long time to prevent vehicle electricity leakage leading to battery damage.
2. Make regular check and maintain the batter clean and tightly fixed.
3. Recharge promptly if the battery voltage is found to be lower than 12.4V during storage.
